Sleep EZ Diagnostic Center, Inc. is Raquel Rothe’s vision. “There was a need for an alternative sleep testing facility in Southwest Virginia,” says Rothe. “We’ve built it so we can offer patients the increased comfort of a home-like setting along with state-of-the-art technology for diagnosing sleep disorders. This relaxed atmosphere contributes to a better quality study and more accurate diagnosis.”

Rothe’s knowledge of patient care includes 17 years as a respiratory therapist, the last seven of which have been spent in sleep medicine. She participated in clinical trial studies at University of Texas — Southwestern for ALS patients as a regional clinical director and performed outcome studies for two years. She also participated in a GlaxoSmithKline pediatric study with the use of Advair.

In addition to establishing Sleep EZ as a recognized leader in patient comfort and diagnostic excellence, Rothe plans to offer sleep education resources to Southwest Virginia schools, businesses and community groups.
